The ShoutMC Wedding Music Packages are solutions to cover your musical needs from start to finish at your wedding (for up to 3 areas).

Each package consists of the following:

Wedding music packages

A considered three-part plan, with a choice of live format for the cocktails moment.

Package 1 · Ceremony PA + duo (2 sets) + wedding DJ

Area 1 - Ceremony: PA System , including wireless microphone, stand, mini-jack cable (for iPod/iPad/laptop, etc.). Service includes the technician playing appropriate background music on guest arrival, pressing “play” on wedding pro/recessional, operating the microphone level, etc.

Area 2 - Cocktails: Acoustic instrumental 2 piece (choose from classical, jazz or marimbas) for 2 sets (2 x 50 minute sets with a 20 minute break over no more than 2 consecutive hours, or 1 x long 90 minute set). No PA system is provided for this part, as the musicians play using their own amps or purely acoustically (meaning no amplification is used).

Area 3 - Reception: Wedding DJ for the reception for 6 hours from 18:00 - 00:00, including PA system for up to 150pax, DJ booth, wireless microphone for speeches, dance floor lighting (DJ can perform longer upon request as per overtime rates on the ShoutMC rate sheet).

If you have more than 3 areas, for example, your dance floor area is not in the same place as where you're having dinner, then you may need to top-up your package with an additional PA system or entertainment to ensure that you are covered for all 4 areas!

Area 2 - Cocktails: 5-piece, incl. vocals (Moonshine or a jazz quintet, incl. vocals) for 2 sets (2 x 50 minute sets with a 20 minute break over no more than 2 consecutive hours, or 1 x long 90 minute set). PA system provided, as it is required for the performance.

Package 8 · Ceremony PA + Moonshine (3 sets) + wedding DJ

Area 2 - Cocktails: 5-piece, incl. vocals (Moonshine or a jazz quintet, incl. vocals) for 3 sets (3 x 50 minute sets over no more than 4 consecutive hours). PA system provided, as it is required for the performance.

Package 9 · Ceremony PA + Moonshine 7-piece (2 sets) + wedding DJ

Area 2 - Cocktails: 7-piece, incl. male + female vocals (Moonshine - Extra Kick! or a jazz septet, incl. vocals) for 2 sets (2 x 50 minute sets with a 20 minute break over no more than 2 consecutive hours, or 1 x long 90 minute set). PA system provided, as it is required for the performance.

Package 10 · Ceremony PA + Moonshine 7-piece (3 sets) + wedding DJ

Area 2 - Cocktails: 7-piece, incl. male + female vocals (Moonshine - Extra Kick! or a jazz septet, incl. vocals) for 3 sets (3 x 50 minute sets over no more than 4 consecutive hours). PA system provided, as it is required for the performance.

The practical detailsBooking notes, production and planning information

We understand that most of our clients do not book live musicians very often. In fact, this may be your first time, which is why we are here to help you. In order to help you understand the standard practices and treatment of professional wedding and corporate musicians (the calibre of which ShoutMC.com offers), here's how it works. If you decide to go ahead and book us, our contract will reiterate this in legal jargon.

Pricing and VAT All listed prices exclude VAT (15%). VAT will be included in the formal quote and invoice. Booking Confirmation A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a 50% deposit and an electronically signed contract. Cancellation Policy If the booking is cancelled: After confirmation (signed contract and 50% deposit), 25% of the total charges (50% of the deposit) is non-refundable. Within 90 days of the performance date, the entire 50% deposit is non-refundable. Within 7 days of the performance date, full payment is required. Cancellation fees are structured to compensate artists for lost work and preparation. Hospitality Rider Soft drinks and water must be provided for artists. For performances during meal times, each artist and/or technician must be provided with a main meal (staff catering or takeaways are not acceptable). Performance Durations A "set" for live musicians is 50 minutes of playing, with 20-minute breaks between sets. For DJ PLUS packages, instrumentalists will perform flexibly during the allocated time to enhance the atmosphere. Performance times are measured from the first note to the last. Examples: A 1-hour booking is 60 consecutive minutes (e.g., 16:00–17:00). A 2-set booking includes 2 × 50-minute sets with a 20-minute break or 1 × 90-minute set without a break. A 3-set booking includes 3 × 50-minute sets over a maximum of four consecutive hours. Overtime fees apply for extended periods. Non-consecutive performances (e.g., 17:00–18:00 and 20:00–21:00) are billed as a 4-hour booking, and overtime fees will be quoted or invoiced accordingly. Transport Costs Transport within a 75 km radius of Rondebosch, Cape Town, is included in the rates. For venues beyond 75 km, the shortfall will be charged at standard AA rates (R3/km) per vehicle. For venues over 100 km away, where performances end after 22:00, accommodation for artists is required. An additional R950 per artist for overnight stays will be added to the invoice, unless otherwise quoted. For bookings involving travel over 200 km (one way) or requiring flights, a special quote will be provided. Holiday Bookings Performances on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Eve will incur double rates. Special Song Requests Songs outside the live band’s repertoire will incur a transcription/arrangement fee, based on the complexity of the work. A quote will be provided.
